00:19In a directive dated Monday, February 4, 2025, and inked by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,
00:25the president ordered his DILG chief, Secretary John Vikramulia, to formally prolong outgoing
00:31PNP chief Marbil's service by four more months, citing it is in the best interest of peace,
00:37law, and order to have them as the chief law enforcement officer to secure the national
00:41and local polls in May.
00:43Marbil is the third police chief since President Marcus Jr. slash commander-in-chief took power
00:48in mid-2022.
