00:00She's got a massive piece of machinery, this Berlin heart had to be taken away.

00:07All of that surgery had to take place before the heart had even arrived in this country.

00:12The heart came from abroad.

00:13So, you know, before the heart had even touched down in Newcastle, she'd had the Berlin heart

00:18removed and she was fitted on bypass whilst the wait for this heart to arrive.

00:23We waited in the parents' room, the room of doom, thinking, is it the room of doom again?

00:28And the surgeon came in with just a smile, just a smile on her face.

00:33It was just, just believable.

00:35Could you have thought it would be that?

00:39She was flat out, absorded beyond belief, just, yeah.

00:43The surgeon explained that everything had went really well, you know, that the heart

00:47was beautiful.

00:48She described the heart as beautiful.

00:51That's such a surgeon thing to say, isn't it?

00:54But it is a beautiful heart.
