00:00An elderly woman became Kelantan's second flood victim in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

00:0770-year-old Siti Gaya Zakaria lost her life when the vehicle she was traveling in

00:12was caught in powerful floodwaters in Kampung Batu Lima, Tanamera.

00:18Her daughter, 48-year-old Shamila Susie Ahmad Basharuddin, survived the ordeal.

00:24Shamila told Harian Metro that the car became stuck at a culvert.

00:27In an attempt to escape, she tried to get her mother to climb onto the front bonnet,

00:32but the fierce current made it impossible.

00:35They could only cling to the car window while holding on to each other.

00:39Siti Gaya told her daughter that her leg was cramping before she was swept away by the current.

00:44Still clinging to the car window, Shamila continued screaming for help

00:48until members of the public passing through the area noticed her distress.

00:52The Tanamera Fire and Rescue Station received an emergency call at approximately 4.13 a.m.

00:59Rescue teams arrived at the scene and immediately commenced search and rescue operations.

01:05Siti Gaya's body was later recovered, not far from where the incident occurred,

01:09and handed over to police.

01:11Siti Gaya's body was later removed, but had herенно multiplayer breakfast in the night of knots.
