Walmart is bumping up some manager’s pay to $620,000

Walmart is offering pay raises and stock bonuses that will mean some managers can earn up to $620,000.

00:00Walmart is giving 440 managers a pay raise, and some will even earn up to $620,000.

00:07The retail giant told Fortune they're increasing base pay, bonus opportunity, and annual stock

00:12awards for market managers.

00:14The bump goes into effect February 1st, and base pay for market managers will be raised

00:19from $130,000 to $160,000.

00:24Managers made about $320,000 to $570,000 with bonuses and stock awards in 2024.

00:31But with the policy change and additional stock granted, those employees will now take

00:36home between $420,000 and $620,000.

00:40Walmart told Fortune that it wants to invest more in its employees and rolled out more

00:44initiatives to incentivize loyalty, including raising hourly wages and launching a bonus

00:49program with a maximum reward of $1,000 for workers who have been at Walmart for 20 years

00:55or more.
