Bristolians can now play a role in preserving the iconic SS Great Britain by ‘adopting’ a treasured item from its collection. Artefacts up for virtual adoption include Brunel’s last cigar, a commemorative cricket ball awarded to E M Grace in 1864.

00:30ever issued. The Adopter Artifact Scheme will help to raise critical funds for the SS Great

00:38Britain Trust, which will be used to conserve the legendary Bristolian ship and museum and

00:44to help support its community outreach work. The adoption packages will last 12 months.
