Thoughts on the exit of Blackpool key man

Kyle Joseph has departed Blackpool on the back of a bright first half of the season.   The striker has joined Hull City for an undisclosed fee on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

00:00Kyle Joseph's time with Blackpool has come to an end. He's joined Hull City for an

00:04undisclosed fee with reports suggesting it could be around the 2.5 million mark.

00:09He leaves a massive hole in the Blackpool attack. He's brought something different this season.

00:14He's put behind his demons from last year and really kicked on. He's brought more than just

00:19goals. Yes he's the club's top scorer and yes probably he could have had more but in terms

00:26of his running, the way he stretched defences, his athleticism, he's really been fantastic

00:31and given his all for Blackpool this season and it's going to be difficult to replace him

00:36but with that amount of reported money on the line you know the club couldn't turn that down

00:41and of course they couldn't really turn down the opportunity for Kyle to return back to the

00:45championship and well hopefully perform for Hull. You know it is a big step up for him and like I

00:51said he's not scored the most goals in the third tier but yeah it's a fantastic chance for him to

00:58really prove himself. In terms of what Blackpool needs, well they certainly need a new striker if

01:04not two. Let's not forget they've lost Don Ballard who may have not been in form but you know it's

01:10still an area they need to fill. Yes it's going to be hard in January. Yes maybe it might be better

01:17with a Wallachest in the summer but you can't just let this season go to waste and if they

01:23don't replace Kyle Gillespie properly then there's a big chance of it happening. You know it's going

01:28to be a tough call. Do they try and get someone who can maybe bag goals but not bring the same

01:33rate as Kyle or do they try and replace him and maybe have a little project and spend the next

01:40few months building another young player into what Kyle was ready for next season.
