Blackpool boss shares the latest on Kyle Joseph

Blackpool head coach Steve Bruce has confirmed Kyle Joseph has been allowed to have personal talks with Hull City after a fee was agreed between the two clubs.

00:00How much have you enjoyed working with Kyle throughout the month of January?

00:04He's everything I like in a football player. He gives everything he's got.

00:08I'm delighted to have worked with him. He's a smashing lad. I wish him the really, really best of luck.

00:15He just shows you. He had a bit of a tough time last year with injuries, not regular in the team.

00:20He's come in this year, had the right good go and as I said, it'd be sad for everybody to lose but that's football.

00:27Everybody's got their price, whether you're Kyle Joseph or you're Cristiano Ronaldo.

00:35You know Hull City as a club well, so do you think that's a good match for him?

00:39I haven't been there for a long time. They're up against it at the bottom end of the Championship.

00:45They're trying to get a centre forward in to help them out of it.

00:49For attitude, work rate and commitment, you're not going to get any better than Kyle.

00:54I believe they'll lie for them well I would think and I'd be a good asset for them.

00:59The talks between yourself and Kyle's honest and open about what he wanted and what you wanted?

01:03Yeah, yeah. There's some times when how can we stand in the way? It's a bit life changing for the kid.

01:08That is football. I'm disappointed like we all are but as I said to you the week ago, everybody has their price.

01:19The club have got a very, very good deal so I wish them well.

01:24You said you are active in the transfer market. How quickly are you ready to go and get in a replacement for Kyle?

01:29Well, there's still a week, ten days to go is there? The madness hasn't really started in the last week.

01:36Look, as I've said many, many times, if the right person's out there who makes us better, then we'll act.

01:42If not, then I'll be patient with her because it's no good bringing in if we're not going to improve.

01:47And this year in particular, where Achilles' heel is, not being able to take the chances that we've had.

01:53In XG, here's me talking about XG now with you, expected goals, we're top of the league.

01:58Which says something about us. We're creating enough chances but unfortunately our conversion rate isn't good enough.

02:06So that's what we'll look to try and do if we can.

02:08You started Tom Bloxham up front. Would that be a positive for him?

02:12Yeah, he's played 30 times there in his career. He's naturally a wide player, left or right.

02:16But the flexibility he's got through the middle, I thought he had a smashing debut and showed glimpses of what he can do for us.
