I tried the Aldi dupe perfumes for Tom Ford and Victoria Beckham

00:00I wanted to talk to you today about perfumes because Aldi have brought out a

00:10brand new range of dupes of very famous and very expensive well-known fragrances

00:16and just so happens that I'm into my fragrances so I went down to a local

00:23Aldi now this one I want to show you La Cura Classic Italia and it's meant to

00:31be a dupe of Victoria Beckham's Portofino that retails at £175

00:39this £6.99 and it's got the characteristic kind of bottle there the

00:48colours are right and this was actually or sorry the real version Portofino was

00:55on my kind of like want list so when I saw it all over social media all over

00:59tik-tok I thought yes I want to actually see what that one's like and I will have

01:05a little smell of it yeah it's it's actually quite a I would say it's quite

01:12a masculine flavor scent and what's disappointing there is that that spray

01:20dispense a bit looks really cheap doesn't it but it is cheap it's £6.99

01:25so what do we expect and but I think it's got like a quite a sultry masculine

01:34tobaccoy kind of flavor sorry scent keep getting that wrong but it does last it

01:42does seem to stand the test of time this one and it's it's an unusual scent that

01:49I quite like and I've got to say for £6.99 if you can get it it comes in this

01:54box this box had been ripped open already it was the last one that they

01:58had in the Aldi that I went to and worth £6.99 I think it looks quite smart it's

02:03it's an interesting sultry and deep tobacco we kind of flavor so go for that

02:11now the one that I'm more interested in telling you about was marked up

02:18interestingly there you go so look looks as a man's fragrance it's not and I'll

02:26tell you why it's not because I've got the real one so it's based

02:32solar looks is based on Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford now what's the price difference

02:39you'll be absolutely staggered five pounds for 50 mils this recommended

02:46retail price £222 so if this is anything like that it's got to be a

02:55bargain right well the other day I put a spray of this on that hand and a spray

03:03of this on that hand because I wanted to actually be able to tell you whether

03:08it's a true likeness or not with this one I actually can't tell you I can tell

03:13you it's decent it's nice it's well worth the money but I can't tell you

03:17whether it actually smells like Victoria Beckham's fragrance this one I can so

03:21does it yes it does when I first sprayed the Aldi version on my hand I was

03:28disappointed and I was disappointed because I thought why have I been

03:32spending all that money on a proper Tom Ford when I could have spent a fraction

03:36on a dupe well I've got to tell you this proper version smells deeper it smells

03:43stronger than this one but the initial smell is very very very similar but

03:51here's where we go wrong after about 15 minutes you can barely smell this one at

03:58all this one keeps on going and going and going and going and it's the same

04:02depth it's the same smell it remains on your clothes if you put them on the next

04:08morning this one it would last 15 minutes and then it will go to a kind of

04:14a sweet kind of smell but you know it's change it changes into it loses the

04:21coconutty it loses that any depth it had and it just becomes a sickly sweet smell

04:28this one retains its signature its profile for hours and hours and hours so

04:36yes it's a lot of money but they're not the same they may initially have that

04:40similar smell but let's be honest fiver 222 pounds if you're just gonna have to

04:50keep reapplying this then just keep reapplying it and it's a lovely summer

04:56fragrance again it's got that really nasty transparent plastic top but you

05:00can see the the shapes especially when I've got the top on it the squareness

05:07you can see where they're going with that but yeah it's summary it's for

05:13apparently it's one of Molly Mae's favorites I didn't get it because of

05:16Molly Mae she didn't even come out with it when I got it and but it's evocative

05:22of summer holiday sun cream coconut I'm just looking at here it's a it's a

05:27floral scent sultry yeah it's not sickly sweet it's a bit of tonka bean

05:34in that it's warm it's solar so a summer it's well worth the fiber go and get it
