Bristolians Discuss: Do you feel you get good value for money from Council Tax?

Most will see Council Tax bills going up this April. Do you feel we get good value for money, and where could your local council do a better job?

00:06look at the amount it's shelling out in pensions. I mean, the rest of us have to go and sign

00:11on and get a private pension and government staff get it paid. I don't know what we're

00:16paying. Police pensions, I think we pay out of the council tax. So yeah, I you know, I

00:24do think that they everyone has got to tighten their belt. Everyone's having to do it. And

00:29I don't see why, you know, their staff get rises when the rest of us don't. The council

00:34to me are a laughing stock. Marvin Rees, everything he says is a load of lies. Well, I know councils

00:45have a difficult time at the minute because they're not funded. They haven't been funded

00:49for years. So I've got some sympathy for them. And I know council tax has to go up. I wouldn't

00:55like to see libraries closed and I don't want to see the local museums closed either.
