00:00Hello from the World Economic Forum annual meeting, where the Davos crowd is a little
00:04bit distracted. Everyone's on inauguration watch. In fact, there are cocktails and parties
00:10happening up and down the promenade, which is the main drag here in Davos, where companies
00:14have set up shop to court clients. The Nasdaq is going to be live streaming proceedings
00:19direct from Capitol Hill, and Qualcomm is hosting a party with Manchester United. And
00:24I bet David Beckham's going to be there, because he's in town for the Crystal Awards. He's
00:28being honoured for his services to charity, alongside the designer Diane von Furstenberg,
00:33who's being honoured for her contribution to women's rights. The Crystal Awards are
00:38what really kicks off the World Economic Forum annual meeting. The main event, all of the
00:44key addresses, all of the sessions on AI and quantum computing, they start on Tuesday.
00:50The headliners include China's Vice Premier Ding, the European Commission's Ursula von
00:56der Leyen, and Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky. So there's a lot to think about, lots of really
01:01insightful stuff to get our teeth stuck into. So do keep across CHCGTN and all of our social
01:07channels, because we're here all week.
