Climate and anti-globalization activists took to the snowy streets of Davos on January 18, protesting against the World Economic Forum (WEF) and U.S. President Donald Trump ahead of the forum’s opening.
Protesters held banners reading "No Profit with War" and “Trump, You Have 99 Problems and WEF Is One,” marched in clown costumes, and staged performances criticizing capitalism, global elites, and Trump’s controversial policies, including his actions in Venezuela and Greenland.
Activists emphasized their opposition to corporate greed, war profiteering, and the disconnect between political elites and ordinary people. Police monitored the event as demonstrators voiced their anger at the world’s wealthiest and most powerful figures.
