00:09Carrie Underwood confirmed earlier this week to sing America the Beautiful in a move that
00:12surprised some fans will have plenty of company from the country music world for the big day.
00:17Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts and more are booked to hit the stage
00:22either at one of the three official inaugural balls or the Make America Great Again victory
00:27Gavin DeGraw whose work has straddled pop, rock and country and created hits such as
00:32the One Tree Hill anthem I Don't Wanna Be will perform at the Starlight Ball.
00:36The Monday event will also feature remarks by President Trump.
00:39News of DeGraw's participation was met by criticism from a portion of his fan base
00:44with his name trending on X. The Village People addressed their fans directly in
00:48revealing they would participate in the inauguration. The band whose classic hit
00:52YMCA has long been an anthem of the LGBTQ community and a favorite of Trump's used
00:57at countless rallies and events posted a statement on Monday reading,
01:01We know this won't make some of you happy to hear. However,
01:03we believe the music is to be performed without regard to politics.
01:07There are other names that are perhaps less surprising like Kid Rock who has
01:10been a longtime supporter of Trump's as well as other country stars.
