00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. wants to remove the programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD

00:07under the Unprogrammed Appropriations Act next year.

00:11This is to ensure that Filipinos can immediately benefit from the government welfare programs.

00:17Under the assistance of the President, the results of the review of the agency's budget

00:23under the 2025 General Appropriations Act, the fund of the DSWD was reduced by P10.85 billion or 4.79%.

00:33Therefore, from P226.67 billion under the 2025 National Expenditure Program,

00:40only P215.82 billion was approved in the 2025 Act.

00:46Meanwhile, the DSWD received P41.8 billion in additional funds from the Unprogrammed Appropriations

00:53to implement the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps from August to December 2025.
