00:08as the team sets its sights in reaching the finals of the region's biggest football tournament for the first time.
00:15In the last edition of the tournament, the Philippines reached the semifinals for the fifth time since 2010
00:21but fell short once again after Thailand defeated the Filipinos 4-3 in extra time.
00:27Two years after that heartbreaking loss, Squadrat believes a squad capable of making history is now taking shape.
00:35The Philippines will open its Group B campaign on July 28 against Myanmar in their hometown.
00:41Also in their group are seven-time champion Thailand, former champion Malaysia in Laos.
00:46The top two teams in the group standings will advance to the knockout stage
00:50while the semifinals and finals will be played in a home-and-away format from August 15 to 26
00:57as the tournament celebrates its 30th anniversary.
