00:15through the city. During his Monday night monologue, Kimmel addressed his late night audience
00:19and broke up in near tears several times while showing how close the wildfire was to their set
00:24on the major Los Angeles street of Hollywood Boulevard.
00:27Many of us had to leave our homes in a hurry. Some of our co-workers lost their homes.
00:34That's Hollywood. It's been terrible.
00:39He continued, and the truth is we don't even know if it's over. We had 100 mile per hour winds
00:44fueling this nightmare, and as of tonight, winds are back.
00:47Once again, we see our fellow men and women coming together to support each other. People
00:54who lost their own homes were volunteering in parking lots, helping others who lost theirs.
01:00Kimmel also took aim at President-elect Donald Trump and his response to the wildfires,
01:04which continue to blaze, and as of press time, have killed at least 24 people.
01:09The fact that they chose to attack our firefighters, who apparently aren't white
01:13enough to be out there risking their lives on our behalf, it's disgusting, but it's not surprising.
01:19ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live resumed production on Monday. The talk show had halted production
01:24last week after the L.A. County fires first broke out on January 7th. More than a dozen
