So, this is turning out to be a sad thematic.
00:04
I don't cook dinner, because I'm not that good at cooking.
00:10
Hi, I'm Sharon Price-John, the president and CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop.
00:15
I'm 60 years old, and this is a Day in the Life series.
00:18
I wake up around 6 a.m., and even though my phone is right beside me, I try not to look
00:25
at it.
00:26
I'm a coffee addict.
00:27
I drink two or three cups a day, but that's the first thing that I do before I do anything.
00:32
And then, while I'm having that first couple of cups of coffee, I do check all my emails.
00:37
I don't always eat breakfast.
00:39
I eat when I'm hungry.
00:40
Usually, I walk about a mile in the mornings.
00:43
Often, I'm listening to a podcast, or maybe I'm meditating, depending on what's going
00:49
on.
00:50
But then, I come back, get ready, go into the office.
00:53
I live in St. Louis, which is where Build-A-Bear was founded back in 1997.
00:59
It's a very short commute for me.
01:00
It's probably less than 15 minutes on most days.
01:03
Our meetings last usually an hour, sometimes an hour and a half.
01:08
And there are definitely days that are completely back-to-back.
01:12
No lunch.
01:13
You have to squeeze in a bathroom break.
01:16
It's nonstop.
01:17
I will often bring my own lunch, because I like to eat healthy food.
01:21
At what time do you normally stop working in the office?
01:24
In the traditional sense, probably around 6, 6.30.
01:28
When the weather's good, we eat outside.
01:30
We have a really nice back patio.
01:34
Sometimes there might be some things that I'll need to circle back on that I didn't
01:37
get to after dinner.
01:40
And I'll go to bed a little bit early, 9, 10-ish.
01:44
I'm probably down by 10 o'clock.
