00:00Looking at Everton and midway season, they haven't had the best of seasons over the last
00:08few years. We've mentioned the turmoil, we've mentioned the biggest changes that the freaking
00:13group have to adjust to when they come in and make a difference at the club. We've also
00:20mentioned Goodison Park's best moments and how it's been overshadowed by a bit of mediocrity
00:25that they want to get rid of when they move to the new stadium. What's the sort of situation
00:31where you look back at the start of this season and how it's gone? Because obviously they
00:35had that terrible run at the very, very start and Everton fans were certainly thinking the
00:39worst.
00:40Yeah, it's been a positive end to 2024 off the pitch. But on the pitch this season, it's
00:48been underwhelming, you have to say. Everton finished comfortably above relegation last
00:53season without the points deductions. And I don't think anyone thought that they were
00:57going to be finishing top 10, top 8, but they didn't expect them to be absolutely in the
01:05mire again. And that's what they are at this moment, after 19 games, you have to say that.
01:13Because they don't score enough goals and they don't win enough games. Three wins in
01:1519, 15 goals and 19 scores. Those sorts of stats are pointing towards a team that is
01:24going to be struggling. And Sean Dyche hasn't been able to find the solutions to it. He's
01:30been at the club for two years, he's saying that these issues have gone on for longer
01:35than I have. But two years is a long time to be an Everton manager and he's going to
01:41keep getting asked these questions against Bournemouth. They didn't have a shot on target,
01:44they were too flustered again. It's not the big teams that struggle against Everton,
01:49they always put up a fight against Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, because the games
01:54are probably set up for them to defend and keep the shape and try and nick a goal maybe
01:59on the counter-attack. And it's no surprise that some fans want to see the freedom crew
02:06make a change. Will they make a change? They've still got other issues to sort out with the
02:11club first and the boards. They've still got to sort out maybe a new director of football
02:16and make a decision on that. And who does want to come to Everton? Maybe for the short-term
02:21or the long-term. But the season so far, I have to say, there haven't been too many positives
02:27on the pitch. The draws, as I say, it's still resolving those. But the attack and potency
02:38is so, so lacklustre. Can't get anyone really firing whatsoever. It's only Calvert-Lewin
02:47struggles, Almanzo-Broyers come back but maybe might be out injured now.
02:54It's looking like they are going to be in another dogfight.
