Jessica Alba and Cash Warren's marriage hasn't just hit a rocky patch, they're about to call it quits with a divorce filing ... TMZ has learned.

00:00Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have been married happily, we always assumed, and probably were,

00:07for more than 16 years now.

00:09So, I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at the story we broke this morning

00:13that they are heading for divorce.

00:15Already separated, we are told, and one of them will be filing divorce papers very shortly.

00:21There was evidence of this. There have been photos of them recently without their wedding rings.

00:26Yeah, and some photos were, actually, we should say the most recent was last week.

00:32Jessica went to a pre-Golden Globes party. She had no wedding ring on.

00:37Cash was also out last week, out with a buddy out for a walk. No wedding ring.

00:42The last time that they were photographed together, out anywhere publicly, was a Laker game, early November.

00:51And certainly at that point, there's nothing outwardly that you would have seen.

00:55It seems like there was trouble, but we are told they are already separated.

01:00They did get together recently for their kids. They have three kids.

01:04And over the weekend, they went to Universal to celebrate one of the kids' birthdays.

01:10So, they are at least, at the very least, you can see here, going to be co-parenting, and we'd expect that.

01:17But the divorce, which has not been filed yet, but we know that it is...

01:22And it's unclear if there was a prenup, you guys. Jessica, during the time that they were married,

01:26she launched a hugely successful company, The Honest Company, which actually is a billion-dollar company.

01:32So, look, it's unclear if they did have a prenup or not, but if they didn't, there's going to be a lot to chop up here.

01:39I would say that, you know, she was a very successful actress before they met.

01:44And I would say, of course, they did have a prenup. And I don't say that anymore, because Ben and Jen,

01:53you would think, of all people, they would have a prenup for all sorts of reasons, yet they didn't.

01:59So, we don't know. We don't know. But that is essentially the status that we're told.

02:06And I got to say, you know, when we do our morning meetings, we sometimes talk about celebrities

02:14and who they're dating and marrying, and a lot of the staff here thinks, oh, a celebrity should marry a celebrity.

02:21And it's like, that doesn't have to happen that way. And everybody says, well, it doesn't work if they don't.

02:26And I always pointed to Cash Warren and Jessica Alba.

02:30I would always point out to you, I understand he wasn't a celebrity, but he was, one, comes from a celebrity family,

02:37and was working in the movie business, even when they met on the set of the Fantastic Four.

02:42He was a production assistant, though.

02:43He was the director's assistant on the Fantastic Four, which he was starring in.

02:48No, he was a successful, smart guy, but it's not what they were talking about in the meeting.

02:52It's not what they were talking about. They were talking about, you need to have celebrities of equal stature.

02:58So from now on, you have to go to Julia Roberts and Danny Motor, right?
