00:00Justin Baldoni's lawyer is doubling down, saying he will show Blake Lively's pattern of bullying.
00:06Baldoni's legal team is responding to a new statement from Lively's legal team
00:10in the latest between the two parties who are locked in a lawsuit and reputational struggle
00:15that has mesmerized the industry. Baldoni's lawyer, Brian Friedman, teased additional
00:19forthcoming information about the It Ends With Us star, presumably as part of an upcoming
00:24countersuit. It is painfully ironic that Blake Lively is accusing Justin Baldoni of
00:28weaponizing the media when her own team orchestrated this vicious attack by sending the
00:33New York Times grossly edited documents prior to even filing the complaint.
00:38We are releasing all of the evidence which will show a pattern of bullying
00:41and threats to take over the movie. None of this will come as a surprise because,
00:45consistent with her past behavior, Blake Lively used other people to communicate those threats
00:50and bully her way to get whatever she wanted. We have all the receipts and more."
00:54The remark was in response to a statement given by Lively's legal team on Monday to People Magazine,
00:59which accused Baldoni's team of trying to distract and attack in the press,
01:03describing such efforts as a classic technique to discredit a victim of sexual harassment.
01:08Lively's original December 20 complaint accused her It Ends With Us director and
01:12co-star of sexual harassment on the set of the film and of orchestrating a smear campaign
01:18afterwards. A story in the Times detailed the accusations and included sensational text
01:23messages among Baldoni's PR and crisis management team.
01:26Last week, Baldoni filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against the Times,
01:32accusing the publication of coordinating with Lively to cherry-pick facts,
01:36which gave readers an inaccurate impression of events.
01:39Then, last week, Lively followed up her complaint with a lawsuit in New York federal court.
