More snow set for London as disruption warning hits capital

00:00A fresh snow warning has been issued for London, as forecasters warn of disruption to travel

00:06across the UK. The yellow warning for snow will begin at 9am on Wednesday and last until

00:12midnight. It covers southern areas of the capital and almost the entirety of the south

00:18of England, stretching from Canterbury to Truro. The Met Office warned that the snow

00:24could disrupt travel, with a small chance of power cuts. Mobile phone coverage may also

00:29be affected and there is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut

00:35off, the forecaster has said. There is also a small chance of travel delays on roads along

00:40with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel. Some areas could see significant accumulation

00:47of between 2 to 5cm of snow, according to the Met Office. It follows days of wintry

00:53weather which have caused widespread travel disruption across the UK and the capital.
