00:00Hi I'm Theo with Manchester World and welcome to People on the Street. Today I'm out in Manchester
00:03asking people about the energy price cap and that's because it's said to go up again this
00:07year with houses now paying around sort of £1,700 per year on energy. We want to know if
00:13people think this is too much, if they can understand that price increase and what they
00:16think are the best ways that the government could look at saving money to reduce the price for
00:21everyone. We're pretty big advocates in the whole green sustainable life. For those that can elect
00:29to go for greener energy on possibly a higher tariff can do so and satisfy their conscience and
00:35everything but then families who maybe can't afford that and can't budget for it have the
00:40option to go for a cheaper energy price. I think the rich can pay more of course because
00:46they have more things and bigger houses and everything is bigger for them and the less
00:53people have less money don't have so much opportunity to have like a normal life. I'm
00:58speaking because my country is like that.
