00:00League's MVP race. Yeah, which for a while now people have said is over
00:06It's over
00:08Okay, he's having a great year, but it's so I don't know man. I don't know
00:12This is apparently a three-man race and two of them are going today and the guy who's the favorite and it's over
00:18It's gonna play for a snap a drive tomorrow in Josh Allen
00:23It's Lamar and it's burrow both on the slate today Lisey trying to make an MVP bid
00:30Yeah, last time Lamar Jackson played against Houston. He throws for a buck 68 to touchdowns
00:36He also runs for 73 yards and the scamper to put them up 31 to 2 and all eyes were on Lamar Jackson
00:42That has potentially being that dark horse candidate to push Josh Allen, but again, they're 19 and a half point favorites today
00:49So if he plays a half, is that gonna be enough to get it done or really?
00:53Supersede what Josh Allen does if even if he plays for a series tomorrow and they dominate New England
00:59I think it's really comes down to Joe burrow if Joe burrow lights it up. This team wins five straight
01:04They get potentially into the playoffs. He throws for let's say
01:09350-400 his passing attempts today. Donnie are 38 and a half
01:13we've heard that buzz where Joe burrow is that dark horse that could just steal it from Josh Allen and if he
01:20Has a dynamic performance against Pittsburgh. I mean all eyes will be on burrow over Lamar. I believe tonight
01:26I don't know. I think the ball certainly still is in Allen's court
01:30But when we say that the narratives are so much fun to bet around because at the end of the day
01:34You are gonna look at the end of the season. It's okay. What was it in its totality?
01:38What's the first thing they look at the last game they played?
01:40It's the statistics gives me the statistics on the season
01:43Which again would have Josh Allen playing a game where he takes one snap and gets no stats
01:48You're not gonna throw any touchdown passes not gonna rush for any yards
01:50I'm gonna throw for any yards and also to your point here if you do have non second half needed for Lamar Jackson
01:56Probably a 223 touchdown passes in the first half alone, which is why they're up so big at that point
02:00Which would cap off his season?
02:02I don't know if Joe burrow can sneak in even if they get into the playoffs just with that sort of 500 team
02:06But I love narratives and I love them based around Lamar Jackson today because the what-ifs
02:11275 and 5 touchdowns a Lamar Jackson. He's gonna win the MVP if he does that I believe that
02:17So what I will say though Donnie is I think the Lamar aspect is very clean because we know he's in the playoffs
02:23Right, no matter what. Yes, if he loses the game, but then he would be the three seed as well, which is fine
02:29Good and glorious
02:31But sometimes we love a round number
02:33This will be mentioned for me today a few times but 359 yards for Joe burrow, that's 5,000 Donnie
02:41That's
02:435,000 yards. He also has this
02:46Record that nobody knew was a record but all sudden of throwing what three passing touchdowns and you know
02:51Almost 300 yards in every single game
02:54He has the opportunity now
02:56This would be obvious
02:56But if he I think has six total touchdowns today that would get to 50 total touchdowns and all it's like, all right
03:02What is even going on with this whole thing?
03:05What what is an odd bit of the burrow candidacy to me is there are some who have said he makes the playoffs
03:11He's got to be the guy and this is where I'm not trying to do a thing
03:16But why you should get angry about the Jaden Daniels stuff
03:18going into the Pac-12
03:20Championship game jaded Bo Nix was the favorite to win the Heisman and then Bo Nix lost and feel like knew it was Daniels
03:27I don't hold on a second. He wasn't playing. I don't get it the idea that burrow is the MVP as long as he wins
03:36Bo Nix chokes against Carson Wentz and Tyler Huntley can't get it done against the Jets
03:40But it feels as if Lacey that is a part of this puzzle now not being nine and eight above 500
03:48Burrow needs a lot of help all of a sudden to win MVP. He does but again
03:52He is the most important player of that team, right?
03:54They wouldn't be potentially nine and eight without Joe Burrow putting up dynamic numbers now before I say this
04:00I believe Josh Allen will win the MVP. I think he's deserving no matter what he does tomorrow
04:05I think he's led his team to the number two overall seat in terms of the conference
04:10He's stepped up from the passing perspective limited term turnovers this year
04:14And I think he's dynamic and deserving of the MVP this year
04:18But if we're talking today who could potentially steal it out of Lamar and Joe Burrow?
04:23I do believe it's burrow because of his ability to potentially throw for 400 in this game
04:29Lead his team to a playoff if everything breaks his way and the buzz around what you just said
04:345,000 yards 50 touchdowns and those marquee performances on primetime
04:39We saw him go toe-to-toe how many times with the Ravens and the best teams in the conference
04:44You got to potentially say he's deserving if he could put up those type of numbers
04:48Look how crazy it is like the way we actually vote on things where we're saying like if he had a good defense
04:53He'd be the MVP
04:53It's not even fair like if we kept we put it in your terms like LeBron can't win the MVP because Anthony Davis didn't block
04:58enough shots later
05:00But that's the way we graded if his team made a couple more stops
05:03And they were already in the playoffs and he finished with 5,000 there wouldn't even be an argument today on who the MVP was
