00:00The name Michelin is enough to excite any foodie, and Roti by D Thandur in KL has now

00:07earned its spot on the prestigious list.

00:10While seven restaurants in Malaysia hold coveted Michelin stars, 56 have been awarded the Bib

00:16Gourmand, including this North Indian gem, which opened in 2021.

00:22It was a big deal because roti is a new identity to us, it has always been D Thandur.

00:29And again, just a few days ago, I would say like about two weeks ago, we have been blessed

00:34very much and so very happy that we have been selected again for the 2025 awards by Michelin

00:41Bib Gourmand as well.

00:43Housed in a cosy bungalow, Roti serves as the flagship eatery of the D Thandur brand,

00:49which began with its first restaurant in Damansara Utama in 1993.

00:55With 15 outlets across the country, D Thandur is recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records

01:01as the nation's first North Indian cuisine franchise.

01:05From starters to mains, FMT Lifestyle sampled many of Roti by D Thandur's signature dishes.

01:13Starting with the classic Butter Chicken Masala, the balance of flavours is spot on, both tangy

01:19and creamy.

01:21Pair it with their fluffy naan and you can't go wrong.

01:24If you love that, don't miss the Sizzling Thanduri Chicken, marinated in yogurt and

01:31Juicy and smoky, it's a dish that will wow the table.

01:36It's not a North Indian feast without biryani, and while they offer many varieties like Lamb

01:42Shank, the Bamboo Lamb Biryani is our favourite.

01:47It comes out steaming from the bamboo with the aroma filling the room.

01:52You get a tender piece of lamb with every bite, and the flavours are perfectly balanced,

01:57rich but not drowning in gravy.
