00:00Are we gonna get another down-the-board big shot winner this week, or do you think some of the favorites will be there?

00:06Xander is a very heavy favorite this week in the five-to-one range

00:10Well, I think you know, I mean Xander's been here seven times. He's got a win

00:14I don't think he's ever finished higher than 15th or something like that

00:17So this is definitely good golf course for him when it comes to the favorites

00:20But you know you keep calling it the tournament of champions and you know if we bring in the accuracy guy from PTI

00:26I'm gonna have to tell you that we can't call it that anymore Mike because they're not all winners, right?

00:31And when they expanded the field last year

00:33We actually brought in some very good players guys from the top 50 of the previous year FedEx Cup points list

00:38That we're good enough to win this thing and Chris Kirk did it at 200 to 1

00:42So when you expand the field and you almost double in size that this event used to be 30 35 guys

00:48That was it now all of a sudden we have 60 guys and we probably have 30 or 40 guys in this field

00:54With how easy this golf course is that if the putter goes nuclear

00:58They could definitely win and Chris Kirk proved that last year. So it becomes a lot more fun. And then you know considering

01:07Scotty's little dance with the wineglass, you know, it opens the field up even more. I do like Xander as a favorite

01:13I mean, I'm not gonna bet him, but he is a strong favorite on this golf course

01:17But I think it's much more wide open than it has been, you know from let's say

01:222023 and prior

01:23We've only had one year with the 60 guys and it's already proven to like kind of open up the field a little bit which

01:28Makes it much more interesting from a betting perspective

01:32And and look and by the way, we never bet anybody under 10 to 1 keys. You know the rules here

01:38Nobody under 10 to 1 so Xander's not on anybody's card this week

01:41But if you go and just look in the last four to five years of this event

01:45You know, you can make a case for any guy who's a big name that they've had success here

01:51You know, it's always a limited field thing. There's years, you know, Cantley's been the top five

01:55There's years Fino's finishing the top five

01:57Everyone's kind of had a crack at finishing in the top five and top ten of this century tournament of champions at some point

02:04These guys are the best in the world. They're going to be able to get some big numbers on this course for me

02:12Colin Morikawa owes me one from two years ago. Oh, yeah, he owes. Oh, yeah a ticket

02:16For what he did on the back nine on sunday and let ron play great don't get me wrong, but morikawa owes us

02:24Uh at this entry so for every year for the rest of my life that he plays in this event

02:28I have to play him because I don't I don't want to be there when he wins and he still owes me from two years

02:35Well, i'm with you. I'm going down that road too. I was there in 23

02:39Um, well, you know when rom got after him and uh, you know, he had that collapse

02:44Uh on the back nine, it was terrible

02:46Uh, but you know what what led to that collapse that year is the same reason why i'm very bullish on morikawa this year

02:52Uh, he had a career year last year around the green and with the putter which with morikawa was like

02:58Unheard of for the first couple years when he was winning major championships

03:01He was a top five iron player in the world and last year's iron game was very average

03:05Morikawa has always been good in january. He's got seven top tens in his career in the first month of the year

03:11This guy works during the holidays

03:13I'm, not sure every guy does but morikawa definitely does he's played well at the century

03:17He putts well on these greens that iron game is going to come back and when it does and it complements

03:23What he was able to do in his career last year, especially post masters

03:27Um, all of those those times that he contended in those top fives

03:30I think morikawa has a very good chance to rattle off a couple of wins
