00:00The health department is also reminding people to be careful on their trips

00:04to avoid accidents, especially this holiday season.

00:08This is Floyd Brent's report.

00:13In just one week,

00:15there were more than 400 road accidents

00:19according to the Department of Health.

00:21That's from 5 in the morning of December 22 to December 29.

00:26This is worrying because it's 38% higher than last year.

00:32In most accidents, the motorcycle is involved.

00:3670 people are under the influence of alcohol

00:40and more than 300 have no safety gear,

00:43such as helmets and others.

00:45Meanwhile, hospitals are on a code white alert

00:48from December 21 to January 6

00:51in preparation for health emergencies this holiday season.

00:55This means that doctors and nurses are on alert

00:58while supplying medicine and equipment

01:01for those who are expected to be hospitalized.

01:05Not only the victims of the accidents,

01:07but also those who got injured on the way.

01:10Because of this, the health department is continuously reminding people.

01:14We should be disciplined in our bodies.

01:16We should not drink, especially if we are driving.

01:19Another thing we are monitoring is road traffic injuries.

01:22We have a record of 284 road traffic injuries since December 21.
