Leroy's eyebrows rose as Shams Charania came in ringing on Christmas Day with more Jimmy Butler news claiming he prefers trade out of Miami before the NBA trade deadline.

02:25and the guy that you were competing against. You're not going to go in first first story

02:30and just throwing, you know, throwing something on the wall, even stick wild guess. You're not

02:36doing that. You're getting information and you know what's going on. And you think it's

02:40coming from Jimmy's agent. Right. From someone in Jimmy's camp. Yeah. OK. But but here but here.

02:58stuff out there and everybody's going to ask Jimmy and Jimmy's not going to talk because he's not

03:03playing, so he don't have to talk. Right. Everybody go as well. Everybody go ask the heat

03:10and then is mysteriously going to happen. Now, if there is a. Message out there that says

03:19he prefers to get traded. During. The before, well, before the trade deadline.

03:31One of the reasons why they put that out there. Is so neither side is pressured

03:39into making a sudden and then you end up with a garbage trade. You see what I mean?

03:47But that brings me to this point.

03:52Are there more teams out there that feel the way Portland did?

03:58Because wouldn't that make it more difficult for anybody to do a trade with?

04:03They're intimidated by Pat Riley. Not even intimidated. Just like it almost means

04:08Portland went out of their way not to do business.

04:14With the heat. So if there's more teams like that.

04:21Then where does that leave the heat? And is that why maybe his agent put that out there early

04:28to get things rolling instead of waiting till the last two or three days before the trade deadline?

04:34Maybe there could be a deal that they're working on right now. Maybe they're trying

04:37to get this extension done. Who knows what's going on? Maybe trying to get this deal done now.

04:42So that you go to this new team and hopefully a contending team, you play well. And then they

04:48gave you the contract that you want because you don't want to just be there at the last minute.

04:54Next season at the end of the year. And then you may not be getting,

04:58you may not have the leverage. Well, the way the NBA is throwing money around.

05:06I do believe Jimmy would get an extension with 29 other teams. Now there's 30 teams in the NBA.

05:17The only one he wouldn't get it with is the heat. That's the way it's playing out for me.

05:24Because if they were going to give him an extension, he would already got it.

05:28And what's good for Jimmy is that those teams that are rumored to be his destination,

05:35need him. You saw that Warriors game yesterday against the Lakers.

05:41They need that dog. What Jimmy is, is a true score built like Draymond Green.
