00:00The Department of Health, or DOH, reported the number of firecracker-related injuries

00:04has reached over a hundred, with most of the cases happening in Metro Manila, and children

00:09aged 5 to 14 as the most affected.

00:13Illegal firecrackers like Bugha and Five Star were the main cause.

00:17The DOH urged parents to keep children safe, promote community fireworks, and advise moderation

00:23in food and alcohol intake during celebrations.

00:26Firefighters are on code white alert until January 6, 2025.
