00:00And so let us take a early look I guess a current look at the AFC playoff picture

00:09as things stand right now with a whole bunch more games still to go in week 17.

00:13So here's what we have obviously the Chiefs are at the top as expected 15 and

00:181 have locked up the number one overall seed fourth time in seven years. The

00:22Bills at 12 and 3 they were in contention for a little bit there. The

00:26Ravens who in all likelihood are going to win the AFC North 11 and 5. Then you

00:31have the Texans 9 and 7. Those are your division leaders ultimate division

00:36winners likely across the board. And then the Steelers at 10 and 6 who have

00:40locked up a playoff seed despite what you saw yesterday. From there you have

00:44two teams that in all likelihood are going to get in the Chargers and Broncos

00:49each sitting Joe at 9 and 6. And then mathematically still in the picture at

00:54least right now the Colts the Dolphins the Bengals. Now I'd love to see

00:59Cincinnati make it that's a conversation for another time. I'm just not sure the

01:03Broncos or Chargers are going to fall off enough to make that happen. Need

01:08Cincinnati to win out and some help. But at the top of the conference people want

01:13to talk about really those top three teams. It's the Chiefs it's the Bills

01:17it's the Ravens. We saw two of them play yesterday two of them win emphatically.

01:22How close are the hopefuls the Ravens the Bills to the team that has won the

01:27last two Super Bowls from Kansas City.

01:31Well I listened. They all know each other pretty well don't they. That one

01:35two and three seed there. And until until they beat Kansas City in a

01:42meaningful game in January and can actually get past them then the

01:48narrative remains the same. They're not in the same league and they're not in

01:52the same league because neither the Bills nor the Ravens can ever beat the

01:56Chiefs. And it doesn't make a difference if it's in Orchard Park or if it's in

02:00Baltimore. History tells us that there's levels to this and the Bills and Ravens

02:06as good as they have been. They're not what the Chiefs are. The Chiefs are a

02:12cut above. Look at Holmes look at Reed. You can you can look to a million and

02:16one different reasons as to why that is. But the reality is until the Ravens

02:21or the Bills beat the Chiefs in a game that matters in January then the

02:27narrative remains the same. There's the Chiefs and there's everybody else here.

02:31I'm thought they would last year bet on them to. Nope. Didn't everybody

02:37know that against Patrick in Baltimore. You just don't do it right. But the

02:41thing that here's the thing about that game thinking back to it and people you

02:48know you mentioned Brady before people did this for you know 20 years playing

02:52against Bill Belichick and Tom Brady and the Patriots. It was you know you make

02:55mistakes you sort of fumble the bag in the moment you you know defecate

03:00yourself you you just you get scared of the situation because of who is on the

03:06other side. We saw that with the Ravens last year wasn't the Chiefs were

03:10dramatically better. It was the Ravens completely abandoned their game plan.

03:14They overthought it rather than going with their strength which was running

03:18the football even pre Derek Henry. It was running the football and they just they

03:23branched away. They made it a passing game. That was no way for Baltimore

03:28forget playing against Kansas City and what the Chiefs were good or bad at

03:32defensively. It was just no way for Baltimore to win a game to play a game

03:36its way run clock all of that. Do you think there was a lesson learned there

03:40for the Ravens and for Harbaugh to you know where you can go into Kansas City

03:45this time around if that end up you know ends up coming coming into picture and

03:49and just I don't know having a better head on your shoulders. It's I still

03:58think the Ravens and the Bills to your point have all the talent in the world

04:05enough to be able to beat this team right and it's gonna come down to which

04:10team can make the plays when it matters the most in the fourth quarter and to

04:14this point and to their credit it's been Andy Reid out coaching and Patrick

04:20Mahomes outperforming the superstars and coach on the other side like that has

04:25not said nothing we've seen from the Chiefs leads me to believe that all of

04:30a sudden well now you know they they're right to be getting caught no no they're

04:35not they're even better now because of the way they have gone 15 and 1 Adam

04:40here they're not blowing teams out they don't cover games they just make it so

04:46we play close enough and we know when there's two minutes left and we have the

04:51ball we're beating you that's it or if you have the ball with two minutes I

04:55would a chance to beat us you're not doing it because our defense is setting

04:59up that may be the most impressive thing about Kansas City that nobody's talking

05:02about is what's fags is done with this defense this year not to mention last

05:07year but they won it last year but this defense this year to lose a guy like

05:12Chris Jones in that game yesterday and still get five sacks on a on a Pittsburgh

05:19team on the road in Pittsburgh it just it's it's not enough credit being given

05:24I think to the defense of Kansas City and I think that is the scariest part of

05:28this team right now which is why they've been able to rattle off of 15 and 1

05:32record without scoring at least 30 points in any game
