We get Londoners to reflect on 2024

00:00Yeah, it was quite chaotic. It's like a lot going on. So I think a nice calm, chill 2025, I think would be a good one.
00:08Um, 24...
00:12It was okay. I think the election was kind of interesting. I think there's a lot of doom and gloom talked about.
00:20And people don't talk enough about what could be good. People talk down London a lot. I can't like living in London.
00:26I mean, it has lots of challenges now with,
00:29you hear about all the shoplifting and street crime,
00:31but I'm sure that other people experience it
00:34differently to what I do, but I think it's still fine.
00:37Something I would improve about London in 2025,
00:44I guess it's like a national thing,
00:45but like better funding and provision for like healthcare
00:47and like funding the NHS and stuff like that.
00:50People are very selfish because some of the people
00:52around here, I was on my bike and I wanted to do a count
00:57and where there was an LTN, where you can't drive through,
01:00the people whose cars were coming from the LTN
01:02had no problem going down other people's side roads
01:06instead of keeping to the main road.
01:08So they either make them all LTNs or they don't have any
01:13because the people who do have them seem to be able
01:15to take advantage of other people not having it.
01:19I do some voluntary work with one of the local hospitals
01:23and I'd really like to see them improve
01:26how they deliver some of those services.
01:28And I don't think it's money.
01:29I think it's training and morale.
01:33You know, it might be money because it's staff,
01:35but a lot of it is process
01:37and they could just make things easier for people.
01:41There's a lot of admin rubbish
01:43and the staff are pretty hardworking
01:47and they're under a lot of stress.
01:50So for me, I think next year,
01:51I just wish everybody be more happy, no overthinking.
