00:00As the happiest place to live in Birmingham Sutton Caulfield stands out
00:04for its unique qualities including its proximity to nature, strong transport
00:09links and excellent schools. Residents in the rural town share their views on
00:14whether it deserves the title and if so what they feel makes it such a special
00:19place to call home. Yeah I think I agree I think the main thing for us is the
00:24brilliant schools so we live in walking distance to our little boys in from the
00:29school and we can't fault it it's absolutely brilliant the staff are all
00:33lovely and there are lots of good schools nearby and I think the high
00:40street and the atmosphere is struggling a little bit but yeah we still make use
00:45of it because if we don't use it then it'll disappear and the Christmas market
00:49has been really lovely. Yeah obviously Sutton Park and Newhall Valley we're
00:55surrounded by lots of lovely places to go. Well it's happy it's relatively it I
01:00mean although the country's changing it's relatively prosperous you don't get
01:04too much trouble or I haven't I haven't seen too much trouble and I've sometimes
01:08been here late at night I'm from the pub and that so I haven't seen much
01:11trouble there's some nice areas for housing nice roads for housing I mean
01:17I've lived here for over 40 years my son and my daughter live in Sutton. It's nice
01:22here but there are some parts which are a bit negative. During the day time
01:27it's alright but I feel later at night it's not the safest place to be. Maybe in
01:33the past I don't think so anymore I mean it's everything's closing everything's
01:38run down so it's an interesting one. I think Sutton Coalfields the happiest
01:44because you know there's a lot of nice people you know not much crime around
01:48here. Nice clean streets you know and yeah there's loads of shops to go here
01:53and I feel like everyone brings a happy mood to this area and I feel welcomed
01:57when I ever come to Sutton.
