Eileen Eykelestam hands over her uncle's medals to her great grandson Jenson at Bridgnorth war memorial. Her uncle Private Frederick Ball fought in the Great War.

00:00So Eileen, we're at the War Memorial in Bridgnorth and you're here with your great-grandson Jensen.

00:10Just explain why we're here and what this is all about.

00:14This is a plaque my great-uncle fought in the war of course for it, for these medals.

00:25And that was Frederick Ball wasn't it?

00:26It was Frederick Ball, yes, and we did a real trip to find his grave in Germany and finally

00:37we found it in Cologne and we had a big key to open the gates and it was a wonderful tribute

00:47to a loss of a very fine man.

00:51So these are Frederick's medals, and you're handing them over to Jensen.

00:55And now, in your time darling, he will be having them and looking after them in a peaceful

01:06time we hope.

01:07Absolutely.

01:08How does it feel Jensen to get the medals?

01:11Good.

01:12Excellent, that's great then.

01:14Well look after them anyway, they're very special aren't they?
