00:00Party Solidarity Tanah Ariku President Jafri Kitingan has defended Sabah Chief Minister
00:07Hajiji Noor from calls for him to step down.
00:11Kitingan has dismissed UMNO Youth Treasurer Naim Puniawan Mokhtar's claim that Hajiji
00:16suffers from a trust deficit following a series of leaked videos linking several Sabah assemblymen
00:22to an alleged mining scandal.
00:24On Monday, Naim repeated his call for Kitingan to replace Hajiji, saying that the Gabungan
00:29Rakyat Sabah's deputy chairman should step in to safeguard Sabah's economy.
00:35Kitingan said it was not for Naim to judge whether Hajiji had lost the trust of Sabahans.
00:40Instead, he said such a judgment should be left to the public.
00:45He said calls for the top leader to step aside should only be made in exceptional cases,
00:50including when they have been charged in court.
00:53Kitingan also questioned Naim's intentions, noting that his father, Sabah UMNO chief Bong
00:58Mokhtar Radin, had previously led a failed coup against Hajiji.
