00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has directed the Department of Budget and Management, or DBM,

00:07and the Department of Education, or DEPED, to raise the Service Recognition Incentive, or SRI,

00:13for public school teachers from P18,000 to P20,000. DBM Secretary Amena Pangandaman confirmed

00:21the Department is working to implement this increase while considering fiscal limitations.

00:26Education Secretary Sani Anggara welcomed the move, calling it a boost to teachers' morale.

00:32Further details on the timeline and funding will be announced as the two departments

00:36finalize the plans.
