00:19He said as of 1pm, the number jumped to 87,182 people who had been relocated to 287 temporary

00:32He said a one-year-old boy had drowned after falling into floodwaters in Kampung Cerang
00:37Melintang, Tumpat on Thursday night.
00:40He said the victim was with his mother on the upper floor of their two-storey house.
00:44The mother noticed that the boy was not sleeping and later found him in the floodwaters.
00:50He said the neighbours brought the boy to the Tumpat Hospital where he was pronounced
00:54dead.
00:55The police said the family had been instructed to evacuate but did not do so.
00:59They said some flood victims were reluctant to evacuate to relief centres where shelter
01:04and food had been arranged for them, and such behaviours were unbecoming.
01:10The flood in the country has claimed four lives, with three of them from Kelantan.
01:14More than 26,000 hectares of paddy fields under the supervision of the Kamubu Agricultural
01:20Development Authority and in non-granary areas are expected to be damaged after being submerged
01:27by floods over the week.
01:29The Kelantan Farmers Association said that most affected areas had been recently sown
01:34with seeds several weeks ago, while some were awaiting harvest.
01:38The flood situation worsened on Saturday, with the number of flood victims increasing
01:43to 138,979 people in nine states.
