00:12State Police Chief Datuk Muhammad Yusof Mamat said the move was a precautionary measure

00:17to prevent the erosion from spreading to surrounding areas.

00:21He noted that despite the risks, the site continues to attract onlookers taking photographs

00:28Muhammad Yusof urged the public to stay away for their safety as the area remains at high

00:33risk of further collapse.

00:35In response to the incident, the Kelantan government has declared the collapsed riverbank

00:40a disaster zone.

00:41Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr. Muhammad Fazli Hassan stressed the urgency of repairs to

00:47prevent further damage.

00:48The Irrigation and Drainage Department is currently conducting inspections and studies

00:53to evaluate ongoing soil movement and erosion.

00:57The collapse occurred on Monday, with nearly 50 meters of the riverbank giving way, causing

01:02significant damage to a pedestrian and recreational path used by locals.

01:07The path dropped by almost 10 meters in the incident.
