00:00The Department of Justice is now collating evidence and studying possible charges that
00:05can be filed against Vice President Sara Duterte regarding the threats she issued
00:10against the first couple and the House Speaker. The most crucial piece of evidence thus far
00:15is the video on social media on the second highest official of the land's admission
00:20that she had already contacted an assassin to do the deed. BTV's Luisa Irispe has more.
00:26The Department of Justice confirmed the video of Vice President Sara Duterte indicating she
00:33has contacted an assassin for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Marcos, and House
00:40Speaker Martin Romualdez is an enough evidence as an admission to a crime. The DOJ said this
00:46will serve as admissible evidence especially if she admits how serious she was on her pronouncements.
00:56Likewise, the DOJ is now leaning on its legal experts to study whether to file
01:26cases of libel, defamation, grave threats, and even a disbarment case against VP Sara.
01:32Another official of the department said most of these cases will rely on her video,
01:37a copy of which is in safekeeping by the DOJ as well as the social media site.
01:56The DOJ also believes finding the alleged assassin could well be relevant evidence.
02:08The PNP-CIDG vowed to look for leads or indicators to find the assassin.
02:26Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on the other hand announced today it received an anonymous complaint
02:46for the disbarment of VP Sara. Supreme Court Spokesperson Attorney Camille Ting said
02:51the complaint was dated October 24 but they have received the letter just this month.
02:56The basis of the complaint was the earlier pronouncement of VP Sara where she said she
03:02would dig out the body of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Sr. The Supreme Court
03:07has yet to act on the complaint. Louisa Erispe from the National TV for a new and better Philippines.
