00:35the importance of a proper management and proper knowledge of the EOC
00:40will help in a successful operation and it is important to ensure a fast and effective response to calamities and emergencies.
00:47This training really equips us to have the right skills, the knowledge, and the right attitude
00:55in responding to an incident or any emergencies.
00:59According to Lorna Beyer, Operations and Warning Division Chief of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Agusan del Norte,
01:07the EOC is not only active in times of calamity, but it is also important, especially in carrying out large and important activities
01:15to have a closer coordination of government agencies, local governments, and other sectors.
01:22This is staffed with personnel to undertake multi-stakeholder coordination,
01:28manage information in anticipation and or support to other EOC activating.
01:37Proper coordination is critical to meet the needs of the affected community.
01:42The EOC training is an important aspect in being prepared for calamities
01:48and a key to reducing the impact of calamities on the community.
