00:00Ngayon, 2026, layunin ng Philippine Sports Commission na mas palakasin at palawakin pa ang grassroots program ng bansa sa iba't ibang sports para makatuklas pa ng mga bagong Pilipinong atleta.

00:12Ang gabawang datalya sa balitang yan sa ulat ni Bernadette Tinoy.

00:18Matapos ang matagumpay na kampanya ng Philippine Sports Commission na PSC sa taong 2025,

00:23in-anunsyo ni PSC Chairperson Patrick Patogregorio na plano nilang mas palawakin ng grassroots program sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagpapatayo ng regional training centers sa mga probinsya.

00:35Ayan niya maayos ang koordinasyon ng PSC sa mga NSA's at local government units.

00:40For the longest time, 35 years of PSC, bakit ang training natin na sa Rizal lang, Phil Sports lang, Baguio lang?

00:49You know, if you go to Baguio, you will see their 10-15 young boxers and coaches.

00:55Pag tinanong mo sila eh, 15 years old, 14 years old, taga saan ka, taga saan ka, lahat Tagamindanao eh.

01:01It is now our role in PSC, together with the local government units.

01:05Katulad nyan, yung bubuksan natin na Bukinnon Training Center for Boxing.

01:10So lahat ng Tagamindanao, kung may sampu akong Tagamindanao sa Baguio,

01:14pag binuksan ko yung regional training center sa Bukinnon,

01:17after one year, isang daan na yan sila.

01:21Binigyang diindi ni Paton na layunin nila na hikayatin ang bawat Pilipino

01:25na ipromote ang healthy lifestyle tulad ng pagbubukas ng mga track and field ovals sa publiko.

01:32We opened the Regional Training Center for Archery in Candon.

01:36Would you believe Candon, Ilocosur has a training facility for archery?

01:40We will open gymnastics training facility in the Visayas and Mindanao.

01:44We are rushing the track and field ovals and the swimming pool in UP Davao.

01:49Where, kung baga ba, we want to tell LGUs, you can adopt a sport.

01:56Identify a sport, build a facility for that sport.

02:00PSC comes in and will tell you, yan ay regional training center for this gymnastics, for example,

02:07or for weightlifting in a particular area.

02:09And then we identify the youth playing in that area.

02:14One day, when they're really good, saka natin sila hatakin sa national elite.
