00:00The police regional office of Central Visayas is also getting ready for the upcoming election.

00:05And as part of their private armed group, Jesse Atienza is in the center of the news.

00:14The new director of the police regional office 7, police brigadier general Redrico Maranan,

00:23courtesy mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia,

00:26in front of the media, the mayor expressed his support to the police.

00:31We have already concluded the bidding process for the 50 million peso renovation for our Cebu City Police Office,

00:41which will be groundbreaking very soon.

00:44That's 50 million pesos. Can you imagine?

00:47That's the support we have for the Cebu City government.

00:50The PRO-7 also expressed their readiness for the upcoming midterm elections,

00:56as well as for the possible areas of concern or hotspots in Central Visayas.

01:03The PRO-7 also named a private army that they are monitoring.

01:08In the entire Region 7, we have only monitored one in Negros Oriental, the Tebes group.

01:14As far as our parameters are concerned, and with the Comelec,

01:20there is no election areas of concern here in the City of Cebu.

01:25The PRO-7 also assisted the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas under Secretary Terrence Calatrava,

01:33as well as the City and Provincial Directors for other preparations for the midterm elections,

01:40including the implementation of augmentation in the ongoing situation of the volcano Canlaon.

01:46Another topic discussed is our preparation for the volcano Canlaon.

01:52We will comply with the instruction of our Usec Terrence

01:56to bring people who will help in the evacuation or search and rescue operation

02:04in the event of the volcano Canlaon preparation.
