00:15The government continues to expand healthcare centers in the country
00:19because today is the groundbreaking of the new Philippines Cancer Care Center in a public hospital here in Pampanga.
00:31The Department of Migrant Workers led the opening of the Cancer Care Center.
00:36This is a reminder to the former DMW Secretary, Susan Tutsople, who passed away last year.
00:43This will serve as an extension of the hospital to accommodate more patients.
00:47Some of the services of the new Philippines Cancer Care Center are the outpatient department for patients with infectious diseases
00:55and the Cancer Care Center.
00:57It was funded by the Department of Health under the Health Facility Enhancement Program.
01:01Remember, the Department of Budget and Management raised the fund for the program.
01:06In accordance with the directive of President Marcos Jr. in SONA last year,
01:11the number and capacity of healthcare facilities in the country will be increased.
01:15The 200 overseas Filipino workers, along with their families,
01:22officials from the DMW, DPWH, DOH, DSWD, OAH, PCSO, PGH, Local Government Unit,
01:32and relatives of the former Secretary, Susan Tutsople.
