St. Benedict's College are the winners of the South Zone Intercol title.

This follows their 5-4 win on penalties against Naparima College after a goalless 90 minutes.

00:00This was the South Zone inter-court final between Naprima and St. Benedict's at the
00:04Attoboldon Stadium with the players meeting with the officials. Heading to
00:08the action, Naprima in red had a crack at goal but the custodian was equal to the
00:13task. Then the Lions were on the prowl but they could not find the net and it
00:18was still nil-nil. In the second half, St. Benedict's came close but the keeper was
00:23outstanding here. Naprima were then hunting for the opening goal but they
00:30too could not score and this player was livid. Naps then had another chance to go
00:35for glory but it wasn't to be on the night in Central Trinidad. St. Benedict's
00:42then tried to get the winner but the keeper did the rest. It meant spot kicks
00:46had to decide the winner. The Laramie and Lions took the first one but the shot was
00:49blocked. Instead, Naps would take the lead and many thought they would go for
00:57the kill but fast-forwarding a bit, they would throw it away. Back-to-back misses
01:01would prove to be detrimental in this riveting contest. Meanwhile, St. Benedict's
01:07was soon in a better position with this kick making it 3-1 but when they had a
01:11chance to seal the contest, this shot was ill-directed. Game on. Heading to sudden
01:17death, the lads from Laramie made this one count which meant Naps had to score.
01:22Would they do so? The answer was no and the team was crestfallen whereas the St.
01:27Benedict's players were cock-a-hoop with a 5-4 win on spot kicks. Then came the
01:33celebrations as St. Benedict's were crowned 2024 South Zone Intercourt
01:38Champions.
