Foster Mom Goes To Pick Up One Pup...But Comes Out With Three!

There's nothing quite like getting triple what you asked for! We spoke with foster mom Gabrielle about how she juggled caring for three tiny pups, and how they all found the perfect forever homes!

00:00So I go to get the foster puppy that I signed up for and they're like,

00:02oh, you know, you don't want to just get the one puppy because they need each other.

00:06They don't want to be alone.

00:07So then they're like, OK, you need to have two.

00:10And then there was one more.

00:13So what was I going to do? Leave the last one?

00:15So here we are.

00:20I love them.

00:21So I became a full time puppy mom overnight.

00:25The three girls had a highly contagious case of mange,

00:28so we had to be super careful.

00:30There's this big tub that I was like, it's perfect.

00:34So that's where they spent their first few weeks.

00:37One, two, three.

00:41Hello, girls.

00:43Hello, girls.

00:45Oh, no, where'd she go?

00:47Combined, all three girls weighed well under five pounds

00:51and they all blended in together into this little mushy mob

00:54in the corner of the bathtub.

00:56After a few weeks in quarantine, we started introducing them

00:58to the rest of the house.

01:01Poppy was the most social of the three.

01:03Lulu was a little bit more withdrawn and particular.

01:06And then I would say Tipper was like the little sis go with the flow.

01:10They were just so captivating.

01:13They looked like little foxes or they just didn't look like puppies.

01:20Week four, starting to kind of play around with like, OK,

01:23are we starting to get there? Are we getting better?

01:25One, two, three.

01:30Little naked girl.

01:32It's OK. Your hair is going to come back.

01:34Don't you worry.

01:35Week five, it's like these girls are healthy, happy, ready to go.

01:40It is time to start looking at applications.

01:42And six weeks into fostering, we were ready to find them their forever homes.

01:47Tipper's forever home, it was pretty clear, was with us.

01:49She was not going anywhere.

01:53When I say that these dogs are each in their perfect home

01:56where they are so, so loved and taken care of, that's an understatement.

02:00They hit the jackpot.

02:02They are all living happily ever after, and they're so deserving of that.

02:07About two months later, we had a meetup so that the girls could see each other again.

02:11Watching them run around, it was just so funny.

02:14They're just so little.

02:15They picked up right where they left off.

02:18It just makes it so much more special for me to think about what they came from

02:21and to see where they ended up.
