00:00Former Law Minister Zayed Ibrahim has poured cold water on a PAS leader's assertion
00:06that the party is better qualified to lead Perikatan Nasional.
00:10In a post on X, Zayed said many leaders are qualified to be the poster boy for PN,
00:15but the critical thing is who is most acceptable to most people in the country.
00:20He said PAS is a party that attracts only Malays in Perak, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu
00:25and has no support elsewhere.
00:27Earlier, PAS spiritual advisor Hashim Jasin claimed that the party's larger
00:31parliamentary representation and stronger grassroots network made it better qualified to lead PN.
00:37Zayed said if PAS wishes to lead the country,
00:40it must be willing to come down hard on corrupt civil servants.
00:43He said he expected PAS to only go after soft targets like cracking down on operators of 4D
00:49outlets, massage parlours, issues surrounding alcohol and Chinese pork shops.
00:54He added that the country has too many political eunuchs and criticised the
00:58focus on policing kawawat while neglecting to combat corrupt administrators.
