00:00The M6 has reopened after a lorry driver was killed when his truck smashed through the Central Reservation in Lancashire.
00:07The 10-vehicle collision occurred between junctions 32 and 33 at around 11.20am on Wednesday, November 6.
00:15A lorry travelling northbound smashed through the Central Reservation before crashing into several other vehicles and overturning.
00:23The lorry driver, a man in his 50s, sadly died at the scene.
00:27The driver of a Ford Transit, a man in his 40s, and the driver of a Suzuki Swift, a woman in her 40s, also suffered serious injuries.
00:36Police said three other people suffered minor injuries in the crash.
00:39The motorway was subsequently closed in both directions while emergency services worked at the scene.
00:45The northbound carriageway reopened at around 4am the following day on October 7, but Lane 3 remained closed for emergency barrier repairs.
01:02At 12.25pm, National Highways confirmed the southbound carriageway had also reopened with Lane 3 closed.
01:09Lancashire Police warned motorists that traffic may be heavier than usual due to the lane closures.
