00:08No, I've never, I've never had my phone stolen or, yeah no, or know of anyone actually.

00:18How safe do you feel on the streets in Bristol?

00:21I feel quite safe, yeah. I think even at night time there's always people around and it's always really busy, so yeah, I always feel safe.

00:32Certainly hasn't happened to me, but I'm sure it's happened to a lot.

00:36Again, you need the figures and seeing there is some sort of rise in that over the country and especially Bristol.

00:43Bristol's a very important place that has these problems when you get lots of people visiting the city for lots of different reasons.

00:53Do you generally feel kind of safe on the streets in the city?

00:59It's funny I do, but that might also be because I wouldn't, I don't walk the routes that I wouldn't feel safe in.

01:07I'm definitely aware of being a woman in the city and being alone in the city.

01:12I think my partner is very, you know, keen on me not walking alone anywhere after dark, so it's funny.

01:22I think Bristol can at once be really like, it's really, it feels very community and together.

01:28Yeah, at the same time, there's always an edge of concern, isn't there?

01:32I think you kind of have to have that to keep your wits about you.

01:36But have locals ever experienced being mugged or having their phone snatched, especially within the city of Bristol?

01:45Is that something you've ever experienced?

01:48Yes, I'm a retired police officer, so I'm well aware of that.

01:54And there is a problem in Bristol, I don't know all the figures at the moment.
