00:30News of Weinstein's diagnosis comes after he underwent emergency heart surgery last month
00:36and tested positive for COVID and double pneumonia in July.
00:39Weinstein is being held at Rikers Island as he awaits a retrial in November
00:43after his 2020 rape conviction in New York and 23-year sentence was overturned in April.
00:49He was indicted on further sexual assault charges in New York also last month,
00:54to which he pleaded not guilty and is now charged under two indictments for three sex crimes.
