Ofcom say media companies will face punishments for failing to keep children safe on their platforms.

Do you think this approach will make a real difference?

00:00I mean, it depends what they're going to do, really,

00:02because I think, yeah, you can have age restrictions and things,

00:06but you can't necessarily keep track of that.

00:11I think it will raise awareness,

00:12because if nothing happens, then no-one knows about it,

00:15and if they're getting some sort of punishment,

00:17then at least more people know about it.

00:19If the actual punishment will make a difference, I don't know.

00:21But I think it's good, because it's just bringing attention to it,

00:25and I think that's the main thing that you need.

00:28They do censor some things,

00:30but there's a lot of censorship of, like, activism.

00:33Like, in terms of Free Palestine,

00:35there's been a lot of censorship in that,

00:36where people have had to find workarounds.

00:39Just the people posting pictures of themselves, I do it,

00:43everyone does it, but, like,

00:45the upholding of certain body standards,

00:49I think that's a big problem.

00:51And, like, my little sister, she's only two years younger than me,

00:54but I do get a bit worried that they're going to affect

00:57her mental health in certain ways.
