00:07Minister Anwar Ibrahim and UMNO after a recent revelation regarding the election for the

00:12Bagandato parliamentary seat.

00:14Anwar's political secretary, Shamsul Iskander Akin, disclosed that he did not call for a

00:20recount of votes during the last general election on Anwar's orders.

00:24Anwar is the president of PKR, which is part of the unity government that includes UMNO.

00:30Ramasamy questioned the timing of Shamsul's disclosure, suggesting it wouldn't have

00:34been made without Anwar's blessing, and questioned if there is trouble between Anwar

00:38and UMNO.

00:40He speculated that Anwar might be considering a long-term political coalition, potentially

00:45without UMNO's participation.

00:48Earlier today, UMNO Supreme Council member Puad Zakashi also questioned the timing, calling

00:53the story nonsensical.

00:55Shamsul, who narrowly lost to current Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO President Ahmad Zahid

01:01Hamidi, revealed that Anwar advised against a recount because Barisan Nasional had agreed

01:06to join forces with Pakatan Harapan to form a unity government.
