00:00DAP Secretary-General Lok Su-Fuk has sought direction from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim
00:06on the unity government's approach to cooperation ahead of upcoming polls.
00:11In an interview with Malaysia Kini, Lok said it would be illogical for unity government
00:15parties to work side-by-side in parliament but battle each other in state assemblies.
00:20The transport minister said that Pakatan Harpan must quickly decide whether to contest together
00:25and allocate seats in an orderly manner or go for a free-for-all, stressing that PH cannot
00:31remain ambiguous.
00:32Lok said it would be easier for unity government parties to negotiate seat allocations if federal
00:37and state elections were held simultaneously.
00:41He said if federal and state elections were held separately and parties opted for a free-for-all
00:45approach, unity government parties would inevitably face off against one another in state polls,
00:50citing the collapse of the Pakatanasional government after its parties fought each other in Malacca
00:55Johor and Sabah.
