00:00Listen, Dave Roberts is feels like he's been on the hot seat forever, but I don't envy that what he's got to do to navigate this step.

00:08I think if this was a best of five series, we'd be having a different conversation about who came in that game yesterday.

00:15And I none of those high leverage guys would have been in the bullpen.

00:18They would have had to have come in.

00:20But if being a set of best of seven, what else what choice does he have?

00:24I mean, how does he navigate as this series moves on with these arms and the lack of lefties?

00:30I mean, it's enviable.

00:33It really is.

00:33I mean, I wish him all the best.

00:35I don't know that he can pull it off.

00:37Who's on a more perpetual hot seat?

00:40Dave Roberts or Ryan Day at Ohio State?

00:43Like both those guys.

00:45Like, oh, if you lose one, you might be done.

00:48Yeah, I think it's national championship or World Series or bust.

00:56And if you fall short of that expectation, whether it's Dave Roberts or Ryan Day this year, that pressure cooker gets heated up even more.

01:07So, like, that's the thing that I really wanted to highlight here.

01:10But, but, Joe, I'm entirely with you.

01:13Like, you know, what is Dave Roberts really going to do here in a bullpen game?

01:18Like, is he going to start Copac?

01:19No, I don't think so.

01:21It would be nice to kind of have a tone setter right away.

01:23I was of the thinking that they should probably just start knack.

01:26And if he gives you a shutout first, you run him out there for the second.

01:30And if he gives you a shutout second, you run him out there for the third.

01:32Because you can effectively use that as a starting pitcher.

01:35Now, Mac was the first guy out of the bullpen.

01:37It didn't work very well.

01:39I mentioned this on the just baseball show for today.

01:42I think Alex Vessia not being in there is going to really hurt the Dodgers at some point.

01:47That's a lefty reliever that has been one of the best in all of baseball.

01:51The fact that they cannot turn to him might be detrimental.

01:54But, yeah, like, it was, it was a tough situation that Dave Roberts found himself in.

02:00I do like that they went with the bullpen day that day,

02:03as opposed to the Bueller start on normal rest.

02:06They give Bueller two more days rest.

02:08And the bullpen day makes a lot of sense.

02:10Because, A, you didn't use any of those little lever or the high leverage arms in game one.

02:14And B, you have the off day following that.

02:16So that was the right day to do the bullpen thing.

02:19I do think that it was correct in theory, maybe poor in execution from Dave Roberts yesterday.
